Expanded Teacher Reports Now Available

New item-level teacher reports provide deeper diagnostic insight into student numeracy performance.

Deeper Insight for Classroom Teachers

We are excited to announce the availability of expanded teacher reports in the Digital EMA@School platform. These new reports provide classroom teachers with unprecedented item-level detail to support targeted instruction.

What’s Included

The expanded reports give teachers access to:

  • Question-by-question performance: See which specific items within each task were attempted, skipped, answered correctly, or answered incorrectly
  • Quantitative context: Understand not just tier placement, but the underlying numbers (e.g., 3/39 correct versus 25/39 correct tells a very different instructional story)
  • Skip pattern analysis: Identify which questions are being skipped and the time elapsed before skipping, helping distinguish between avoidance behaviour and genuine knowledge gaps
  • Domain-level tier classification: At-a-glance tier categories (Tier 1, 2, 3) for each domain, aligned with Response to Intervention frameworks
  • Error analysis opportunities: For multiple-choice items (such as fractions), see student answer choices to understand conceptual misunderstandings

How This Helps Teachers

With this level of detail, teachers can:

  • Target specific fact sets strategically and developmentally (e.g., do students have facts within 5 for addition? How do related subtraction facts compare?)
  • Plan group instruction based on common patterns across the class
  • Monitor individual growth by comparing item-level performance across Fall, Winter, and Spring administrations
  • Conduct error analysis to identify specific misconceptions and plan responsive instruction

Accessing the Reports

Expanded teacher reports are available directly in the platform at ema.vretta.com. Access is controlled through your school or district account. Contact your administrator if you need access.
